The networking of computers is the most common use for structured cabling. Is used to network systems ranging from a small 2 computer office to an office building with an unlimited number of computers. Commonly referred to as category 5 or category 5E cable.
 
High End Phone Systems
The networking of phone systems is becoming a more popular form of voice/data cabling. It is possible to network a system to handle several incoming lines and extensions. These systems typically use what is know as a category 3 cable.
 
Surveillance Systems
